Year 1
The applicant must satisfy one of the following 2 conditions :
- hold the « Diploma of the first cycle of the Ecole du Louvre », obtained in a maximum of four years, with an average mark of 14/20 taking into account the written and oral examinations in the specialist subject of Year 3 of the first cycle,
- hold a higher education diploma from a French or foreign university specialism history of art, level French bac+3 minimum, (first degree with a minimum average mark of 12/20) and a favourable decision by the Education Committee of the Ecole du Louvre, subject to the availability of places.
Students of the Ecole du Louvre who satisfy the conditions for entry to the second cycle are convened by the School for registration.

Year 2
The second year is accessible through submission of an application pack.
The applicant must satisfy one of the following two conditions:
- hold the « Diploma of Museology of the Ecole du Louvre »,
- hold a Master 1 in the history of art and archaeology, or a diploma of a standard recognized asequivalent, or professional experience with submission of the individual works of applicants.
A selection committee meeting held draw up the list of accepted applicants.
For applicants who are holders of the "Diploma in Museology of the Ecole du Louvre":

The reception and information department is open from 9h30 to 12h00 and 14h00 to 17h00, from Monday to Friday, except during August and the Christmas and Spring school holidays of the Academy of Paris.
