Master’s Degree in museum studies and museology
Ecole du Louvre - Neuchâtel University
Every year, two students, officially registered at the Ecole du Louvre or Neuchâtel University, can apply to study for a year in the partner establishment:
- 4th year students (M1) at the Ecole du Louvre can follow the 1st year tuition for the Neuchâtel University “Master’s Degree in museum studies”.
This is validated in accordance with the host establishment’s curriculum and is worth 60 ECTS credits;
- Students in their second year of the Neuchâtel University “Master’s Degree in museum studies” can follow the 5th year (M2) “research programme” tuition offered by the Ecole du Louvre.
This is validated in accordance with the host establishment’s curriculum and is worth 60 ECTS credits.
For these annual exchanges, housing is offered thanks to the patronage of the Maison Borel Foundation
Since 2012, the agreement has been extended to half-year exchanges: 4th year students from the Ecole du Louvre can therefore complete their second semester in Neuchâtel and earn 9 ECTS credits (course and seminar).
At the end of their course, students who benefit from the exchange are awarded their degree by their home establishment.
